December 17, 2010 will be the day Tron: Legacy hits theaters in all it's 3D glory.
Up until this time, I hadn't jumped much on the bandwagon for this forthcoming film, but now that I've seen the newly released trailer – I'm joining the fan club.
See I was around for the original Tron back in 1982 (the movie and of course the Atari video game – all good stuff back in the day). However, my hesitation for accepting this next segment of Tron was that I didn't want it to turn out like the G.I. Joe movie a few years ago – all CGI generated graphics, with no real story. That doesn't seem to be the case with the Tron film.
For starters, Jeff Bridges is back as Kevin Flynn the originator of the Tron game.
Tron: Legacy is a 3D action-packed adventure set in a digital world unlike anything captured on the big screen. Sam Flynn, a rebellious 27 year-old is haunted by the mysterious disappearance of his father, Kevin Flynn, a man once known as the world's leading video-game developer. When Sam investigates a strange signal sent from the abandoned Flynn's Arcade that could have only come from his father he finds himself pulled into a world where Kevin has been trapped for 20 years. With the help of the fearless warrior Quorra, father and son embark on a life-or-death journey across a visually-stunning digital universe…that was created by Kevin himself.
