Many of us avoid calling abroad because of the extortionate charges that come with it. It means that a lot of us struggle to keep in touch with relatives and loved ones who are in other countries. It’s nice to send emails and pictures, but nothing beats a good phone call and hearing the other person’s voice. But how can you do this for free? There are different packages you can choose from, depending on how much you want to call abroad and how long for.
BT has some great packages for making international calls abroad that you can add on to your existing call package with them. With the ‘Friends and Family’ deal you can get discounted calls to over 230 different international destinations from just 2.5p a minute. I don’t know about you, but the last time I made a call to somebody who was abroad it cost me an awful lot more than 2.5p a minute! This is a great deal for keeping in touch with our loved ones.
Alternatively, if you spend a great deal of time speaking to relatives and loved ones abroad, you could opt for the International Freedom package. For just £5.50 a month, you could call for 0p a minute to 36 of the most popular destinations and get international calls to a further 199 destinations. You could call pretty much anywhere at a discounted price, compared to our current package. It really doesn’t get much better than that, particularly if you are somebody who has a large number of friends and relatives who are currently abroad.
Did you know that you can even call a mobile abroad at a cheaper price as well? You can call mobiles from 29.9p a minute. So, if the person you need to contact is not in, or you have children who have gone travelling, don’t worry. You can still stay in touch at a fraction of the cost by choosing one of BT’s brilliant deals.
