    I’m David, here on behalf of Doritos. After looking at your blog, I thought you and your audience might be interested in an innovative advertising campaign for the Super Bowl. This year, Doritos presents the “Crash the Super Bowl” contest, incorporating user generated videos and shelling out $5 million in prize money. Out of 4,000 entries, 6 finalists have been selected and the winning contestant’s video will air during the Super Bowl.

    Thanks again for helping spread the word about the Doritos Crash the Superbowl on your site.

    Here’s an update on the results: The four winning commercials were “Casket” by Erwin McManus of Whittier, CA, “House Rules” by Joelle De Jesus of Hollywood, CA, “Snack Attack Samurai” by Ben Krueger of Minneapolis, MN, and “Underdog” by Joshua Svoboda of Raleigh, NC. The biggest story surrounds the “Underdog” commercial, which ranked #2 on the USA Today Ad Meter, and as a result won $600,000 from Doritos. Svoboda, the creator of “Underdog”, spent a mere $200 to film and produce the commercial.

    This is the fourth year in a row that a consumer-created Doritos ad has ranked in the top five, and it’s the first time that Doritos has aired four ads during the Super Bowl.
