Just as the ever-changing technology of the modern era, the development that supports it also undergoes frequent change. Most recently, developers have begun expediting the rate at which they release code. However, this change is not attributed to the developers, but rather the infrastructure that supports them. CI/CD has recently popped up and been popularized for the capacity to increase the speed of application development.

CI/CD stands for continuous integration, continuous delivery, and continuous deployment. It aims to automate the resource-intensive process of deploying updates for an application. By eliminating the need for human resources to update the application, more resources can be allocated to developing and ultimately evolving an application. These CI/CD pipelines have even caused external applications such as Bitrise to enable mobile application developers to have a platform to reap their rewards. Ultimately, CI/CD pipeline automation has been a significant innovation in both computer and mobile application development. With even more future potential, it is yet to be seen how far these pipelines can take the future of development.
