A huge focus is put on the interior of a commercial building. We want our staff and visiting clients to be comfortable and productive. But the externals of your commercial building need time and attention too. 

There is nothing as uncomfortable as turning up to a building that looks dirty and overbearing. Overgrown or dead hedges and trees, rubbish floating around, cracked paving in the parking area, and more.

Not every building is an office building, and if you rely on footfall from customers for your business, the outside looking drab isn’t going to help. Instead, having a clean, bright exterior with plenty of safe parking is necessary.

The best way to ensure that the exterior of your commercial building – no matter what industry it is – looks excellent and doesn’t need high-cost repairs is to ensure that you have it regularly inspected. 

Here are some of the places that you should expect to have checked over at regular intervals: 

  • Windows – cleaning, sealing, and for chips and cracks
  • Birds – nests, dirt, and other
  • Roof – that it meets safety standards, is clean and sealed well
  • Pipes – any pipes that exit the build should be checked for pests, mess, and blockages
  • Carpark – cracks in the asphalt, anything unsafe
  • Security cameras & lighting 
  • Plants, grass, trees & decoratives
  • Signage
