Google recently announced that they are going to begin sunsetting their current iteration of Google Analytics, UA. After 2023 Google Analytics 4 will be the primary analytical system. While many people have utilized UA for years, GA4 will provide new and improved ways to track data,
GA4 is designed to combine app and web analytics in a single platform, and is focused on user privacy without compromising insight. GA4 includes a consent mode which can be adjusted based on the permissions given by each visitor, and is fully compliant with privacy laws to ensure no user will have their data compromised.
Other new features of GA4 include a new debugging mode, cross platform reporting, and automatic collection of data. All of these new functions will make for a more efficient and productive experience for users, and the switch can be made very easily.
