As if the endless screen time from our laptops, desktops, tablets, phones, gaming, and other such mobile devices wasn't enough – along came the global pandemic which kept many of us tied to screens even longer. At times, it felt incredibly lonely with none of our previous “normal life” habits on the horizon. That became a dangerous recipe for many of us, especially kids and teenagers, to start conversing with strangers on the internet.

Here's are some sobering statistics that further this point – screen time in adolescents more than doubled to a troubling 7.7 hours per day during the pandemic. Furthermore, teens that use social media more than 3 hours per day are at risk of developing mental health issues. Something must be done to turn the tide.
