Now that we are more than half way through 2021, over 50% of Americans have been at least partially vaccinated against COVID-19. That number continues to grow and most of the nation is fully opening up to pre-pandemic levels.

While it’s wonderful to breathe a sigh of relief at seeing life return to some semblance of normalcy, it’s also important to keep in mind that the fight against COVID is not yet over. In fact, epidemiologists believe that, with mutated variants of the virus will render the first generation vaccines ineffective by 2022. We also don’t yet know whether or not vaccinated individuals can still contract and spread the disease.

With all of this in mind, it’s vital that we still do all we can to prevent a resurgence of the disease.

One of the things that individuals can do is to learn and understand their personal risk levels. They can do this by taking an at-home risk assessment. The results, which are returned within 5-7 days, give the individual a report on their personal risk. Armed with this information, each person can decide what precautions they should keep in place, such as wearing masks and staying away from large crowds.

Although we are finally able to relax a bit, we are still in this fight together.
