Emails have recently become a huge part of our businesses but have also become a path for hackers into our computers. Out of all the emails we get, 1 out of every 99 – in a 5 day work week, this can amount all the way up to 4.8 phishing emails per employee. Businesses could even be receiving attacks every day and not know it as 30% of all phishing emails make it past default security. Phishing is very expensive for those it attacks and is becoming more and more common. But 35% of professionals don’t know what “phishing” means.
Phishing is when attackers send emails, manipulating the receiver into opening a file or clicking a link – the result is malware is automatically downloaded to their device or a spoofed website collects login credentials resulting in compromised information.
