Hiring new people for job openings is very important to keep a business healthy but nearly 7 out of every 10 hiring managers struggle to fill essential positions and end up with a bad fit. In 2018, 44% of all U.S. jobs saw employee turnover and during that same year, companies of all sizes, from under 10 people to businesses with hundreds of workers, saw difficulty hiring. Companies have been asking the same questions for a very long time and only do this so sensitive topics aren’t discussed that could lead to the company getting into trouble. But these questions have major drawbacks. These questions might not be specific to your organization or even the available role, the answers aren’t helpful, and can lead to skewed results.
