Smartphones have become a major part of our lives and how we work and live. So 1.3 billion more mobile devices than there are people on the planet should come as no surprise and smartphones have been the fastest growing piece of tech phenomenon ever. Almost all Americans own a smartphone and beyond that, smartphone ownership has more than doubled in less than a decade. 

Most people even own multiple devices as between the years of 2010 to 2018, tablet ownership increased 16 times. But when our phones don’t function, we don’t either – no wonder we like the security of buying a new phone. Buying a new phone in 2019 can be costly – as the new phones cost well over $1,000.
