Women In Cryptocurrency [Infographic]

It’s great that women are starting to become innovators in the tech world in categories like cryptocurrency and blockchain – except that women have always been innovators in the tech world and were even some of the earliest computer programmers.

Ada Lovelace is often remembered as that lady who wrote about Charles Babbage’s computer theory, but most people in the computer sciences recognize her as the person who wrote the first computer algorithm. When people think about the great minds that landed man on the moon in the NASA space project they think of people like John Glenn, but they forget that John Glenn would only go to space when Katherine Johnson double checked his trajectory calculations.

Women who are making waves today in the cryptocurrency and blockchain spheres have the women pioneers of computer science to thank for the technology they have today. Learn more about the history of women in computer science and the current women in crypto from this infographic!
