It’s resolution season. Many people are resolving to do things like “lose weight” or “get healthy.” It’s important to make resolutions realistic so you don’t give up on them- if you resolve to lose 50 pounds by summer, you are going to fail. But there is one thing you can do that is a simple lifestyle change that will both help you lose weight and get healthy- drink more water.

Half of Americans get less than half of their daily minimum of water. Only about a quarter are drinking the minimum daily amount of water recommended by their physicians. And even those numbers are low for some people. Dehydration can cause headaches, decreased cognitive function, nausea, kidney problems, and a whole host of other problems. Despite knowing this, most people still just aren’t getting enough water. Learn more about proper hydration from this infographic! Will you make your resolution stick this year?
