On the one hand alcohol is involved in a lot of traffic fatalities- 31% of all traffic fatalities are linked to drunk driving. But responsible alcohol use has been shown repeatedly to be very good for you. It can decrease your chances of developing Type II Diabetes or heart disease and people who engage in moderate alcohol consumption are 23% less likely to develop Alzheimer’s or other forms of dementia.
