Have you ever missed the train back to your hostel because you were backpacking through a foreign continent and you didn’t realize the trains stop before last call? Sure, we’ve all been there. Thankfully in most places you can catch a cab in lieu of sleeping in the street all night. But in places where cabs aren’t always easily available it’s good to plan ahead.
In Copenhagen there’s no last call, but the trains also run 24/7 so there’s no need to rush your night of fun. Contrast that with Rome where the last call is 2am but the last train left the station at 11:30pm- hope you can find a cab! Last call times vary widely at different locations around the world as do train schedules. With a little bit of planning, you can be sure to get home safely.
