Busy twenty-somethings often don’t have time to meet people in the traditional way, so online dating has taken over. Two in five singles have tried online dating. Check out these that help you save time while potentially meeting the love of your life.

Match.com

More than 1.8 million subscribers use Match, making it the most widely used dating site across the globe. You can create a basic profile with photos and information about yourself. Since it is so well-known, it gives you a wider demographic of people that you could potentially meet within your area. The site also offers matching criteria to make sure you connect with users that share your interests. Most Match users are more serious about finding relationships while some of the other dating apps are better for those seeking friendships.

If you have a short attention span and don’t want to browse through hundreds of profiles, Tinder is a good option. Pull out your iPhone 5C or other T-Mobile phone and open the app, and if you like the photo you see, swipe right. If not, swipe left. If you both swipe right, you will match and can send messages. It’s a fun way to pass some time while waiting to meet a friend or on a break at work.

Coffee Meets Bagel

Seen on the popular TV show, Shark Tank, Coffee Meets Bagel takes a fresher approach. It syncs with Facebook and gives you one match each day with whom you probably have friends in common. You can take 24 hours to decide to pass or select, and then answer icebreaker questions to learn more about each other.

Hinge

Hinge also uses your Facebook friends list to determine who you have in common, so you can use the app to ask a friend whether he or she thinks the potential suitor might be good for you. You also don’t have to fill out a profile, but you can answer unique questions that unveil your personality.

HowAboutWe

Meeting people online and figuring out what to talk about can feel a little awkward at times, so HowAboutWe uses a different approach. Users can post potential date ideas using the fill in, “How about we (blank)” and other users can respond with interest in participating in that activity. It also offers low membership fees and a high percentage of users who want to meet people in person instead of communicating online.

OkCupid

For those who just want to test the waters in the online dating world, OkCupid is a great place to start. It is a free app, but you can find local users wherever you are when you open it. Users also take tests to determine their compatibility with others and use match questions to find people with whom they share interests. Since so many other twentysomethings use the app, it’s an easier way to find friends and potential dates in your area.

When it comes to meeting a partner, you can move at your own pace and meet new people with these dating apps at your fingertips.
