The 100th anniversary of the massacre of Armenians under the Ottoman Empire will be commemorated on April 24, and Pope Francis recently referred to it officially as “the first genocide of the 20th century.”
History. THIS history is very important to me, personally as it directly relates to my wife and her family.
In the 20 years that I've been a part of the extended Dadian family, I've had the opportunity to meet survivors of the Armenian Genocide, learn their struggles, understand the concept of a “picture-bride“, and hear the stories from their children, and grandchildren.
Like the rich history of the African-American, both the positive and negative, in the USA I too am an owner of THIS story.
