One of THE giants of the music industry, Mr. Phil Collins, surprised a lot of kids recently – he made a surprise appearance at his son's middle school in Miami, Fla. during a spring concert and blessed them with some vocals.
We all know that Phil has been retired from the stage for a number of years since dealing with a painful spine injury, but, according to a report in The Guardian, last year, Phil's eldest son Simon Collins, frontman for rock band Sound of Contact, told Smashing Interviews that he was beginning to turn his attentions to music again. “[My father is] doing really well. He's starting to write again actually and spending more time with family, myself included.”
