Night at the Movies with Eric: Marvel’s Captain America – The Winter Soldier

Last night I went to see Marvel’s Captain America – The Winter Soldier and I have to say I was floored.  This movie had me engaged throughout its entirety.

CapAmer In my opinion if the Marvel movie Superhero Franchise continues to produce movies like this they will always have my business.

I like the fact that they try to stay within the context of the comic book story line but put the movie industry spin on it for the big screen. If anyone has seen this movie you know what I mean when I say it’s ACTION-PACKED.  I mean, it is jaw dropping, engaging edge-of-the-seat exciting.  I must have caught myself countless times moving to the fight choreography in my seat.  It was the same feeling you felt when you watched a Bruce Lee movie back in the day.

Wow.  Ok where do I begin?

captain-america-the-winter-soldier-poster-scarlett-johanssonChris Evans (Captain Steve Rogers aka Captain America) does an amazing job capturing this marvel hero’s All-American good guy personality.  A personality much like Superman in that he feels everyone can be rehabilitated or at least has the right to a fair trail including the bad guys.

Captain American’s feats of dare devil antics are so amazing in this movie to say the least however no Superhero movie is complete without a sexy fearless heroine whom every man would love to have by his side-Natasha Romanoff aka The Black Widow played by the captivating Scarlett Johansson.

Captain Steve Rogers and Natasha Romanoff find themselves being duped by the very agency they have sworn allegiance to and faced with the challenges of who to trust.  Nick Fury the head of this agency played by Samuel L. Jackson is put down by The Winter Soldier played by Sebastian Stan whom turns out to be someone from Captain’s past.Falcon

The Falcon played by Anthony Mackie comes on scene to assist Captain America and Black Widow in their quest to save the world from this New order. The graphics from the Falcon’s aerial fight scenes were brilliant.  This was comic book fighting come to life.  I was on the edge of my seat.  It was everything you could have imagined when you were a kid reading the comic and picturing it in your mind.

Along with an A-list cast, they all came together and made this movie exciting and worth every cent of the movie ticket’s price as reflected by the outstanding box office stats.  That means it has already been out for 3 weekends and still going strong.

This movie is a MUST-SEE.  You will not be disappointed.  And if you are I want to know WHY? Let me know what you think.  If you do not enjoy this movie I am curious to know your thoughts.

See you at the movies.
