Using heat to style our hair is both a blessing and a curse. On the one hand, it really gets the job done and leaves our hair looking flawless and beautiful. On the other hand, it can damage our hair beyond repair if we’re not careful.

The typical woman will alter her hair’s shape four times a week. Whether it’s curling or straightening, a lot of those alterations will call for some sort of heat. These household heat tools, like a blow dryer, flat iron, curlers, or rollers can reach temperatures of up to 450 degrees fahrenheit.

Take a look at this infographic from Matrix for more on what all that heat is really doing to your hair. What’s your morning hair regimen and does it require any heat treatments? Let us know in the comments and don’t forget to like and share!
