Its official, I have qualified and will be moving on to the Center finals in my quest to win 50K in the AMF bowling tournament.
I placed 7th out of 45 bowlers at my center to qualify to move on to the Center Finals. See the scores here for my division here: http://tournament.amf.com/Pages/Scores.aspx?divisionId=4&eventPhaseId=20&orgId=600
In the Center finals the top 6 will move on to the District finals which will start March 9th. I will need to be in the top 3 to qualify in the District Finals to move on to the National Finals Championship for a chance at the $50,000.00.
With so many awesome bowlers out there I have to always stay postive and confident that I can do it. Honestly I do get frustrated when I see the ball heading for the pocket or the left pocket (know as a Brooklyn) and I don't get a strike. I have to learn to shake that off and just do my best at picking up my spares to move forward.
Bowling is fun despite all the stresses of not throwing the perfect ball and not being consistent at hitting your mark. Staying focused and hitting your marks consistently is key.
I have been working on using hte floor markers and watching my form and approach. That has been a lot of help in me becoming a better bowler.
I guess in terms of this tournament I am taking it one game at a time. I try to focus on getting my average early and then getting pins above my average second.
Cross your fingers and wish me luck.
Make money money make money money!!!! Good luck EB!
