There was a time when people looked forward to Black Friday.  There was a rush that came with waking up from your turkey coma before the sun came up and standing in line for the doors to open so you could be the first to snatch up this years tickle-me-Elmo and $5 DVDs.  The day after Thanksgiving has routinely been the biggest shopping day of the year, but with the rise of Cyber Monday, many consumers are moving their holiday shopping to the web.

The 2012 U.S. Holiday season is projected to bring in $585 billion dollars, a 4% increase from 2011.  More than half of consumers say they’ll be doing at least some of their shopping online.  There are multiple reasons for this, but among the biggest reasons is the ability to shop 24/7, convenience, and avoiding crowded stores with long lines.

These purchases will be made from a multitude of technology platforms; from your smartphone to your laptop, shopping is at your fingertips at any given time.  This infographic presented by Retail Customer Experience tells you everything you need to know about online shopping this Holiday season.
