The Science of Beer Goggles [Infographic]

Scientists have long known that symmetry is tied to attraction. A symmetrical face is seen as a sign of good genes and good health. So what exactly does face symmetry have to do with being drunk?

It takes as little as a pint and a half of beer to give you said “beer goggles”. Even low doses of alcohol can increase your self-confidence, sexual desire, and sociability. When under the influence, you begin to experience disinhibition- the loss of inhibition. Pretty much, the more you drink, the more that little voice of reason disappears.
