In today’s world, knowledge is just a click away. Not to mention, with the rise of smartphones, people appear to have all the answers at their fingertips. Want to know who won the game last night? A quick Google search will tell you all you need to know. There are no limits to the amount of information we have at our disposal, simply because mobile searching has been made available.

Did you know the average response time searching via desktop is one week? That’s like an eternity when compared to that of a mobile search, one hour. In terms of search criteria, Facebook takes the cake of being the number one most searched for destination via mobile search with Google sliding in at a close 2nd. Other runners-up include: YouTube, Hotmail, Yahoo and Google maps.

Celebrities, social media and fast food chains appear to be among some of the top searches made, as well. For every 33 searches for Pizza Hut on a desktop, 91 searches are made via a mobile device. That’s nothing in comparison to Justin Bieber, who boasts a whopping 47 mobile searches for every 6 made on a desktop. Having our phones at our fingertips has definitely opened the doors for us to access info exactly when we need it!
