Drivers over the age of 25 are half as likely to cause an accident than beginner drivers. With this being said, accident rates drop significantly after 9 years of driving. An average of only 9 accidents occur per year per 100 drivers between the ages of 25 and 34. Each insurance price is adjusted per driver based on a combination of factors. Factors including your marital status, gender, age, where you live, and the number of accidents you’ve been in.

Hey ladies, girls rule in the insurance department. With women being statistically safer drivers, 73% of all people killed in car accidents are men. Are you married? Two is better than one and a married person will pay less than a single person with an identical driving record. Try getting out of your big city and into a rural area. There are more cars on the roads in cities, meaning the probability of hitting one rises while in a big city. Therefore, you’ll be paying less on your car insurance in a rural area.
