To mark summer 2012 Charles Tyrwhitt, the men's shirts specialist, has released a bespoke illustrated map by British artist Peter James Field, highlighting some of the UK’s most traditional sporting gatherings.
With London 2012 fast approaching and the Queen celebrating her Jubilee year, the desire for all things quintessentially British has never been greater.
Aside from the Games, however, there are plenty of other typically British sporting events which provide the opportunity to get in to the patriotic spirit this summer. From the Henley Royal Regatta to the World Bogsnorkelling Championship, 2012 is the year to celebrate everything that makes our nation unique.
The map, A Summer of British Sport, aims to help tackle the sartorial challenges one might be faced with when planning to attend an event.
Style tips for each event are provided by the buying and merchandising teams at Charles Tyrwhitt and can be viewed by clicking on the interactive flags on the map. Users can also click-through to view the recommended items of clothing and add them to their shopping basket.
This map is actually interactive – if you click through you can interact with the different aspects of the infographic.
Charles Tyrwhitt menswear continues the tradition of Jermyn Street menswear retailers. It is famous for its quality and attention to detail, which is characteristic of British heritage brands.
