In an effort to get more small businesses engaged in social media, Twitter and American Express are launching marketing options for those small businesses to better engage with the people they want to reach.
In a post on the Twitter Advertising Blog, today, American Express will begin to notify eligible Cardmembers and merchants that they can now start advertising on Twitter.
What’s in it for the small business?
- Quick startup and included ongoing management of the advertising campaign
- By using Promoted Accounts, the expectation is that a businesses number of followers will dramatically increase
- By using Promoted Tweets more people will see a businesses message
What’s it going to cost? Great question…according to the Twitter and American Express, businesses with pay per follower for Promoted Accounts and per engagement (click, retweet, reply, and favorite) for Promoted Tweets.
