Science + Tech Offering 25GB of Cloud Storage for 99 cents

CX Inc. has a laser focused goal: they are dedicated to simplifying how people interact with media and making it easier than ever to access and share content wherever you go. Sounds good right?

What should even sound better than that is that for the next 48 hours, the cloud storage and cloud solutions company is running a killer promotion – offer all new usersĀ 25GB of storage for .99 cents/month for the next 12 months.

CX users who are signed up for an account between January 25, 2012 and January 27, 2012 will enjoy the benefits of secure cloud services at an 80 percent discounted price for one year. Existing paid users can increase their online storage space by 25GB for an additional .99/month for 12 months.

“User demand continues to show that a strong storage offering and a secure platform is the number one reason any cloud computing adopter will use the product offering,” said Brad Robertson, CEO of CX Inc. “We have one of the most competitive if not the most competitive price offerings in the cloud storage and collaboration space. CX continues to have a free offering and our company philosophy dictates that storage space is deducted from the group creator, not every single user that the person shares with, nor does it include the size of their unlimited file revisions from their users’ quota. This promotion is just an added bonus for our users that want more storage and don’t want to have to pay a premium with other sites.”

CX currently offers its customers 10GB for free and paid account options of 50GB for $9.99 a month and 100GB for $19.99 a month. It is the only cloud company offering free groups, a collaboration and real time notification suite with the potential to add up to 1 million participants per group. CX does not charge multiple storage fees when files are shared with others.

Rather than simply a storage tool, CX distinguishes itself through a collaboration element. CX’s offering makes it possible for users to post comments like a social media stream, on top of their files, making it comparable to micro blogging in a cloud storage environment.

“We’re interested in how people collaborate and work together and our three pillars of CX’s play are collaboration, communication and discovery. Storage and sync are becoming commodities but the differentiators going forward will be security capabilities and collaboration features. Deeper integration with common software and hardware platforms will also be key as the market for cloud storage and file sharing evolves,” Robertson added.

CX works on a computer, an Apple iPad, an iPhone and will soon be released for Google Android and BlackBerry. CX has seen steady growth and referrals have grown by over 60 percent in the past few months.

The 48-hour promotion will take place January 25th at 8:00am PST and run through January 27 at 7:59am PST. After the one year, pricing will revert to $4.95 month for 25GB. Users can cancel the offering at any time. Users that paste the link to the promo on the social media networks Facebook and Twitter will be eligible for the referral bonus of 300GB per user. To make sure I didn’t miss anything, much of this text came straight from the CX press release – I didn’t want ya’ll getting upset with me for leaving out any of the fine print.

All that being said – GET ON IT – you only got 36+ hours left.
