Obama told the Congressional Black Caucus this weekend, “…take off your house shoes, and put on your marching shoes”
Forget all the other rhetoric, this 2012 election is going to be about two pressing and extremely important topics:
- Jobs (which includes the overall state of the economy and the countless numbers of Americans living below the poverty line)
- Getting the U.S. out of Iraq
Trust me – everything else is just noise…
This past weekend the President stood in front of the Congressional Black Caucus and sounded very reminiscent of his 2008 election campaign efforts.
Listen to a bit of his speech here and weigh in with your thoughts.
Yeah, he was a bit excited, and quite a bit passionate. I don’t fault him for that. What is unfortunate, however, is that of everything the President said during this speech, the main thing that seems to be resonating across the InterWeb today is the teleprompter gaffe where he said Jew instead of janitor…
If asking a billionaire to pay the same tax rate as a Jew, uh, as a janitor makes me a warrior for the working class, I wear that with a badge of honor. I have no problem with that.
Rise up people – we’ve got more serious issues to be concerned with than 2 second sound bites
That being said…below is the FULL speech
