Don’t Stop Believing in Fridays – Glee Covers Rebecca Black

Brace yourself, Gleeks.  Glee is infusing some Friday into your Tuesday.

Mashable has reported on it and Vulture has confirmed it: Glee is covering Rebecca Black’s “Friday.”  During the prom episode, Kevin McHale (Artie), Chord Overstreet (Sam), and Mark Salling (Puck) will be singing about deciding whether to take the front seat or the back and harmonizing the sequence of what day comes before and after Friday.

The extra attention from Glee will no doubt continue the viral reign of the infamous Friday video.  Just when I thought it was finally safe to browse YouTube without Rebecca Black’s video popping up under the Recommended section.

From classics like Don’t Stop Believing and Don’t Rain on My Parade down to the mundane Friday, do you think Glee has gone overboard in its constant attempt in integrating itself into the center of pop culture?

Either way, I’m curious to see how the guys of Glee can improve this song.

And just in case you’re not aware of the Rebecca Black song…here it is for your listening and viewing pleasure:
