In the battle to capture the attention of the mobile entertainment market, I'm glad there are alternatives for us, the consumer, to choose from.

I voice that statement after realizing this week, after receiving my invite to Hulu Plus, that I would still have to pay the ten bucks for the service even during this Beta phase – not cool Hulu !

That being said, last year at the TechCrunch 50 Conference in San Francisco, I was introduced to Clicker (@clicker). The company positions themselves as, “…the complete guide to Internet Television…”

Clicker catalogs all broadcast programming online, along with TV-quality Web originals and delivers them in one seamless, organized experience so you can easily discover what's available to watch (and what isn't) online, where to watch it, and what's worth watching.

During Tiger Woods‘ return to gold and the World Cup this past month, I was glued to nearly everyday – a great service worth checking out. Probably the best thing about them right now, aside from the only streaming of entertainment is the fact that the service is still FREE.

Now the site is launching into the mobile delivery of these services. An Android app has just been released, letting you watch shows on your phone and manage your queue on-the-go. According to a report in Lifehacker, the iOS app is currently pending approval, but should appear in the App Store soon. And again, they're FREE.

What's cool about the mobile apps at this stage is the ability to edit your playlist on-the-go. Not unlike Hulu, Clicker supports a queue that keeps track of the shows you watch, alerting you to new episodes when they come out. Being able to manage these from your phone is pretty convenient.
