It’s official – I’m old! How can we be celebrating 30 years of Pac-Man? Seems like only yesterday we were playing the game, chasing ghosts and eating fruit.
Well it’s true, and to celebrate the anniversary, Google, in the midst of a week of major announcements from their Google I/O conference, is honoring us lovers of the old school with a playable version of Pac-Man on their home page.
It’s pretty authentic too. Google’s Marcin Wichary says, “[we] made sure to include PAC-MAN’s original game logic, graphics and sounds, bring back ghosts’ individual personalities, and even recreate original bugs from this 1980’s masterpiece.”
You click the Insert Coin button and away goes productivity out the door (yes, I played for about 45 minutes before writing this post).
