Marvel vs. Capcom 3: From Dreams to Reality

Ten years ago after the successful release of Marvel vs. Capcom the game giant released a sequel to hungry gamers everywhere. Everyone loved the extended roster , new features and of course new ways to lay the smackdown on their opponents. Arcades that have these machines to this day are always played as someone is always looking for a challenge. Whenever there is a video game tournament at any convention or event most likely this is one of the games that’s in the roster. But the fans still wonder when or if they would release a third installment to some say the best fighting game of all time.

A few days ago that dream was made a reality.

The trailer for Marvel vs. Capcom 3 was released to hungry gamers everywhere and, so far, all I can say is when will this game be released!? I am not that good at fighting games but I still will want to play this as it will be one of the best games out there.

Speculation has already started on who is going to be in the game. From the trailer we already know that Ryu, Wolverine, Iron Man, Morrigan, Hulk and Chris Redfield will be included in the game.

However at the end of the video there are silhouettes of characters in the background.

I did some research on these and the following characters might be included in the game as well.

Returning Characters:

Captain America: He was in the first two Marvel vs. Capcom games and players love to use him.

Doctor Doom: The masked villain will also make a reappearance in the third game

Felicia: From one of the best series of all time Darkstalkers this feisty cat lady will make a return to the third installment.

Chun-Li: With kicks that can stop any foe in her tracks this little lady is a welcome addition to the roster.

New Characters

Frank West: He’s a hidden character in the Tatsunoko vs. Capcom game that’s out now for the Wii but I definitely want to see him included in this epic matchup.

Deadpool: Merc with a mouth. This will be the first game he’s been in and I can’t wait to see him in action!

Hawkeye: The fabled archer from the Avengers might be making his first appearance in a fighting game as well!

Dante: Rumored to be in this installment of the series it’s still too early to tell. I would love to see him with dual pistols fighting in this game.

Super Skrull: This is one of the characters if it’s going to be in the final game that throws me off. Really? Out of all the marvel characters? C’mon now.

Kaijin: From the Onimushi series. Also making a return from the Tatsunoko vs. Capcom game it should be interesting to see how well he does.

There’s also rumors that Thor would be included in this game as it would coincide with the movie that will be released around 2010-2011.

During a press release it was announced that this game will have more than 30 characters on the final roster. So if you don’t see your favorite character now don’t fret he could be announced in the months to come!

Granted this is all speculation at the moment and with the slated release date for this game to be in either late 2010 or early 2011 hungry gamers are going to have to wait a bit more for the best fighting game ever to be released.

Stay tuned as Capcom will make some announcements at this up and coming E3. Until then go ahead and get Marvel vs. Capcom 2 for the PS3 or the Xbox360 and get ready to fight!
