Position: Sales Development Director

MySpace is searching for a Sales Development Director for their New York office. Sales Development is the single point of contact for Sellers and Marketers across the MySpace Studios Organization. We will not only facilitate communication, but we will elevate the conversation beyond the RFP. This team will partner with Sales to build out deeper insights and understanding into client needs and then marshal the appropriate resources to maximize revenues.

As the Director of Sales Development you will achieve a deep knowledge of key clients and partner with sales to build deeper relationships through the development of world class marketing programs. You’re a hands-on self-starter who leads by example, and you’re able to manage and prioritize multiple projects
effectively on deadline.

Responsibilities:

Partner with Sales director to identify key opportunities to drive revenue

Develop industry leading client briefs by pulling from marketplace successes, industry trends, research and client insights optimizing client outcomes

Lead the development of world class marketing solutions for our clients.

Understand the capabilities of the Studio team in order to prioritize the pipeline for the East / Central regions and effectively manage workload

Be part of the pitch process; present MySpace positioning and / or concepts to clients as needed

Other duties as assigned.

Required Qualification/Skills:

Minimum of 8 years of experience in media and marketing at an ad agency or media company.

Strong strategic and creative problem-solving and decision-making skills

Strong communication and client relationship skills; ability to publicly present ideas and share information

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with managers, employees, external clients and 3rd party vendors

Ability to lead projects, drive team progress and take ownership of complex efforts; familiarity with project management procedures and methodology

Understanding of how to build compelling media and sponsorship programs.

Ability to work well with metrics, numbers and trends.
