Take a look at America’s roads today and you’ll see plenty of green vehicles on the roads. However, the conventional gasoline-powered car is still king on the tarmac. According to the U.S. Energy Information Administration’s Early Release Overview of the 2013 Annual Energy Outlook Report, alternative fuel vehicles, including gasoline/electric hybrids, Flex Fuel and E85 vehicles, consumed less than 5.7 percent of the total energy in fuel burned by light-duty vehicles.

While these green machines leave a light, if nonexistent footprint on the environment, the following ten vehicles go out of their way to make their mark. Within the EPA’s Combined Fuel Economy, Air Pollution (AP) Score and Greenhouse Gas (GHG) Score categories, these vehicles boast the lowest scores for 2013:

Bugatti Veyron – It’s one of the most expensive cars in the world and also the worst polluter with a GHG score of 1 and an AP score of 5. It also gets a paltry 10 mpg combined. Fortunately, there are precious few on the road at any given time, thanks to their exclusiveness.

Mercedes-Benz SLS AMG Coupe – This exclusive coupe weighs in with a 15 mpg combined fuel economy, a GHG score of 3 and an AP score of 5.

Mercedes-Benz C63 AMG – The C63 AMG’s scores are the same as the SLS AMG, with 3 GHG, 5 AP and a combined fuel economy of 15 mpg.

Chevrolet Suburban – This full-size SUV is a familiar offender when it comes to heavy fuel consumption and air pollution. Not only does it achieve a paltry 12 mpg, it also ranks poorly with 1 GHG and 5 AP thanks to its tailpipe emissions.

Toyota Tacoma – With 5 GHG, 4 AP and a combined mpg of 17, the Tacoma ranks as the dirtiest small pickup truck in the U.S. Unfortunately, it’s also a favorite of countless small pickup truck buyers.

Cadillac CTS-V Sedan – The performance-oriented sports sedan makes the list with 2 GHG, 5 AP and an overall fuel economy of 14 mpg.

Ferrari FF – Ferrari’s exclusive four-seater GT sports car is also a profligate polluter and gas guzzler thanks to its 6.3-liter V12 engine. In addition to its 14 mpg fuel economy, it also sports a GHG score of 2 and an AP score of 5.

Maserati Quattroporte – The Italian luxury sedan’s performance-oriented V8 engine nets it a paltry 14 mpg, a GHG score of 2 and an AP score of 5.

Mercedes-Benz S600 – Mercedes’ largest luxury sedan is also one of the biggest polluters, with a GHG 2 score of and an AP score of 5. It also manages only 14 mpg.

Chevrolet Camaro ZL1 – GM’s supercharged superstar rolls away with a GHG score of 2 and 5 AP, while achieving just 14 mpg combined.
