The Financial Risks of Launching a New Console [infographic]

It’s been nearly 7 years since the Xbox 360 was released and rumours are heating up as to the next generation of consoles. The Wii U is currently scheduled for a Christmas release this year, causing some to speculate Sony and Microsoft won’t be far behind.

This infographic by Ladbrokes deals with the current rumours hounding the release of Microsoft and Sony’s next generation consoles. The Kickstarter Campaign launched July 10, 2012 with a somewhat lofty goal of $950,00 – The project closed August 9, 2012 after raising $8,596,475.  That’s about 905% (yes ninehundred and five percent) of goal – Can you say “Far Exceeded”?

Hulu Social Viewing

It’s been a few months since I logged into Hulu.

Finally did today as I was wanting to watch something funny, had Family Guy on my mind for some reason…

Anyways, I found it interesting and well put together how Hulu has integrated the social sharing/viewing aspect.

I’m still not ready to upgrade to a Hulu Plus account, but I am impressed with their overall implementation and selection.

Oh and by the way, here is a clip from the Family Guy episode I so desperately wanted to see

Sony Rebuilds Playstation Network Security After Breach

Sony has had its share of troubles with security regarding the  Playstation Network (PSN). Between the Call of Duty Black Ops multiplayer fiasco and hacked accounts it can be a major headache just trying to keep gamers happy.  That job just got a lot tougher.  Sony has suffered a multi-day PSN outage.  As of this writing it is day five of the outage.  Sony has confirmed that PSN has been infiltrated by an ‘external intrusion’.
