Lean In with the 99ers

I’m a HUGE fan of empowerment. I’m a huge fan of positive role models. And, being a father of a middle school daugher, I even more of a bigger fan of women doing positive things that dramatically shift society.

That’s a big statement, but the following video lives up to that hype.

#ITNVOTD – Lugnuts Pitcher Saves His Face

This particular story has some personal significance to me because my son played on the Lugnuts little league team so of course it had to be added to our Visuals of the Day stream…

Daniel Norris is a pitcher for the Lansing Lugnuts, the class-A affiliate of the Toronto Blue Jays.

Pitching to Western Michigan shortstop David Gonzalez in a 1-1 tie in the bottom of the fifth inning, Norris saw a fastball get whipped right back up the middle of the diamond.

BTW – this made ESPN SportsCenter and was #4 on the Top 10 list. Glad Norris is OK.
