When was the last time you went into work? Chances are it has been a long time. And the strange thing is that everyone is in the same boat. What’s even more strange is that no one knows when they will go back again or if they will have a job in the near future. There are a lot of unknowns in the world right now, and it’s taking a toll on mental health.
If you are fortunate enough to be working from home, it’s still important to work actively toward better mental health. Make sure you are keeping a schedule and that you have a designated place for work and that you aren’t doing work in a place where you would ordinarily relax.
Getting plenty of sleep, water, and exercise (particularly body weight exercises) as well as maintaining a balanced diet is important for everyone. Set aside some time each day to call people – relatives, coworkers, and friends – and check in. It’s good for your mental health and theirs to maintain those interpersonal connections right now.
