Where you work and the environment that you work in, has a massive impact on how you are able to work. It can impact how well you can focus on things, as well as how long you are able to stay focused on things. Your overall productivity is something that is going to be impacted by the environment that you are in. Lighting

Lighting is something that is one of the most important things to consider when it comes to being focused. It can really help you to feel inspired to work and create. The thing is, though, lighting is something that can be often overlooked when it comes to your office space. But the reason why bad lighting can make a difference is that is can cause eyestrain, headaches, and even sap your energy. So if you work in a company office, you might not have control over the lighting. But if you are able to, why not bring your own? Natural light bulbs are the way to go, and you can even look at something like a light therapy light. They can really help to lift a mood. If you do have some sway about what happens, it could be a good idea to consult an industrial electrician to see what could be done with the lighting in your current office space. If you are someone that works from home, then look to open the windows and doors to really let as much natural light in as possible. You can even use different kinds of lamps and light in areas around the house for when the house is dark or on a cloudy day.

Clutter


It is something that we will have had drilled into us since we were children; keep your room tidy. And when it comes to where you work, the same thing needs to happen. Some people can think that having clutter in the home can help them to be creative. But for improved focus and productivity, this is unlikely to be the case. So if you work in an office with others for your business, make sure that you do your bit to keep the office space clear and uncluttered. It could be just your area, or if there are shared areas, make sure that they are looked after as well. Make sure that you put things away like your files and papers. Then you can make sure that you’re not going to be distracted by it later. If you work from home, even if it is just occasional, then the entire house can be potential for distraction. It can be distracting if there is mess around, so you could think about getting a cleaner to clean as you work. Otherwise, you just need to close the door and deal with it afterwards, Otherwise  you won’t be able to be productive when you’re trying to get work done.
