What is there in the world more important than your health and the health of your loved ones? That’s why you obviously will want the best health care you can possibly get. A balanced diet and exercise can do wonders for your health, and can improve many issues you might already have. Think about if you fell at work, or if you were diagnosed with cancer, how would be able to afford life while off work and taking a million and one medications, or recovering from surgery?
As simple, and slightly patronizing as it sounds, one of the easiest ways to achieve the best health care is to look after yourself in the first place. There can be no accounting for accidents or illnesses, but there are so many things that drain medical resources that could have been prevented by people simply looking after themselves. Start with a healthy, balanced diet – which is full of all the vitamins and nutrients that your body needs to get through the day, and combine it with regular exercise. It’s recommended that you exercise at least twice a day for half an hour each time. Ditch smoking and seriously reduce your alcohol intake. Having an active lifestyle and eating the right stuff can reduce your risk of so many things including heart disease, diabetes and arthritis. It can help you fight bowel issues, clear up any acne and prolong your life.
The second way you need to take care of yourself is mentally. There are so many people treated each year because of untreated mental conditions such as depression and body dysmorphia. These too groups of people are the most likely to cause harm to their person and even commit suicide. Your mental health is as important as any physical aspect, even things as small (in some people’s eyes) as SAD should be helped.
