Many are willing to dabble in this modern and mysterious method of investing for a chance to hit it big.
Some financial experts aren’t convinced of the power of the ICO just yet, however. Jordan Belfort, of Wolf of Wall Street fame has gone so far as to call ICOs the “biggest scam ever,” and even entire governments are labeling it illegal and disruptive and have banned the practice completely.
Though it’s life span so far has only been a few years and its start has been rocky, ICOs have shown significant growth in 2017 and currently stands as a $3 billion industry.
