Millennials have always done things a little differently. Whether it’s celebrating those “adulting” milestones or starting their own socially-conscious businesses, they do things with their own flair. Nowhere is this more apparent than in the dating world. Plenty of people complain about dating apps and the word “BAE,” but when you dissect those things not much has actually changed.

BAE has replaced baby for a lot of the Millennial generation, but contrary to popular belief it’s not just a lazy version of the latter. BAE actually stands for “before anyone else” which makes it a sweet term of endearment rather than a sheer act of laziness. You may have also heard of the bizarre practice known as “ghosting” where a person stops responding to another person’s attempts at contact. This is nothing more than giving someone the brush-off. There’s truly nothing new under the sun.

Millennials are meeting people in a different way than previous generations thanks to technology, but other than that not much has changed. Learn more about Millennial dating from this infographic!
