Dr. Google: Not An Actual Doctor [Infographic]

We’ve all done it. You start to feel a chill, then an ache, then before you know it you are sick. You don’t want to have to shell out for a doctor’s appointment if you don’t have to, so you turn to Google. Your symptoms are much more serious, according to Dr. Google, than you had first anticipated. There’s a miracle cure offered for sale at the bottom of the very convincing article you just read. Apparently it’s some secret cure found in the rainforest that the pharmaceutical companies don’t want you to know about. Suddenly $49.95 plus shipping and handling doesn’t sound like such a steep price to pay to stick it to the man.

Before you click “Buy” call your doctor and make an appointment. Chances are you don’t actually have a brain tumor, just a headache. What’s even more likely is that miracle cure will alleviate your bank account of some money while not doing much else to alleviate your symptoms. Learn more about why you shouldn’t rely on Dr. Google from this infographic!
