I've gotta show some love for the local team!!!
The Sacramento Kings have just announced the addition of chat features to the NBA team's website and mobile app available on iOS and Android.
The team's digital platforms will feature group chat rooms based on games, trending topics and more, where fans can discuss news that interests them and see real-time announcements from the team. Users can also cheer on the team with Kings-themed digital stickers of jerseys, logos, and emojis.
Frankly Inc., an engagement and management platform, developed the messaging technology.
Improving technology is a growing theme with professional sports teams – especially in the National Basketball Association (NBA). Teams are taking advantage of advanced camera systems that track players and deliver unique metrics and invaluable information. The Kings are taking it one step further and look to enhance the fan experience with the latest technology and tools.
“The Kings are dedicated to finding new technology solutions that make the sports experience better for their fans,” said Frankly Founder and CEO Steve Chung. “We're excited to provide our unique messaging solution to this amazing community, and to help increase connectivity and engagement among all of the Kings fans worldwide.”
“We're excited to launch this update in partnership with Frankly. Chat lets us engage and interact with our fan base in innovative ways, and they can now connect with each other like never before,” said Sacramento Kings President Chris Granger.
