If you’re considering a move to sunny Southern California, you are in good company. Los Angeles, San Francisco, San Jose, San Diego, and Sacramento are five of the top ten most densely populated major metro areas in the United States. Los Angeles and San Diego are two of the top ten most popular moving destinations for 2010, and Irvine California was one of the fastest growing US cities between 2010-2014.
But other areas of the country are expanding rapidly, as well. Three of the top 14 fastest growing metro areas between 2013 and 2014 are in Florida: The Villages, Cape Coral, and Naples. Midland, Houston, Odessa, and Austin, Texas are also on that list. The population seems to be shifting South and West.
