Sometimes it’s fun to watch those shows where mobs of people bid on a storage unit for which the owner didn’t pay his rent. They gather around, trash talk each other, and whisper speculations to their partners about what might be inside. Then the bidding commences and the tension builds. If you want to avoid that fate, you obviously need to pay your bill on time. Or at the very least clear out your belongings before you cease being able to pay your bill. On the other hand, if you just have a storage unit full of boxes of dirty gym socks anyway, just let it go.
Before you get to that point, there’s a lot to consider when renting a storage unit. Learn all about the rules and regulations, as well as advice you need to know to make your experience more pleasant, from this infographic.
