Is your home energy efficient?  Consider having an energy audit- many times they will be conducted for free either by your power company or by a contractor who specializes in energy efficiency, but even if you have to pay a small fee it can be worthwhile to learn where your home is leaking money.

Even the smallest fixes can help reduce your carbon footprint.  Repairing a leaky faucet might take you 20 minutes but it can save you a lot on your water bill over time.  If your windows are single pane or if they have gaps consider replacing them.  It may be a big up-front cost but it will pay for itself in just a few years in terms of money and energy savings.

Check out this infographic for more details about how to improve your home’s energy efficiency while saving yourself some money.  You might be surprised how easy it is to go green!
