No one can predict the future, but we can certainly predict what to look out for. Cities all over the US are booming and so far 2014 is looking to be a big year. In this infographic are the cities to watch this year, whether it's in education, jobs, or innovation. To classify these cities, the standards of Milken Institute's best-performing cities were compared with USA Today, Forbes and Business Insider's highlights based on the city performance on 2013.

Most of the cities listed here are burgeoning in the tech, education, overall employment, and startup areas. Austin, texas, is in the top five cities in the United States for electric vehicles and number one for future job growth. Seattle, Washington is number fourth healthiest metro area in the US, in regards to overall fitness and health of residents as well as access to healthcare. Boulder, Colorado is the least obese city in America for the fourth year running and is number one in education nationwide.
