The Numbers Behind Face to Face Networking [Infographic]

The way we interact with one another is rapidly changing thanks to the advances in communication tools. Instant messaging, email, and video calling help us to reach people that we wouldn’t have otherwise been able to reach. Now, of all the conversations that take place in the united States, 10% of those are online. The preference for digital communication above all others is growing and 39% of people socialize more online than in person.

So what is this doing to us, and what does this mean for business? Nothing can replace face to face communication and nothing is more effective in maintaining a business relationship. While conference calls and shared screens are a good way to communicate, face to face interactions are usually more positive and are perceived as more credible than online interactions.

Check out an infographic here on just that topic. How do you feel about face to face vs virtual conversations? Take a look and tell us what you think in the comment section. Don’t forget to like and share, too!
