UX is currently one of the hottest professions in the digital creative sphere—so it’s essential that you understand what you are worth. You should keep in mind, however, that salaries for UX jobs vary pretty significantly depending on the needs of the hiring company, the requirements of the hiring position, and your own experience level. The most in-demand UX professions include UX/UI Developer (38%), UX/UI Designer (33%), Information Architect (9%), Visual Designer (7%), UX Researcher (3%), UX Mobile Developer (2%), and various “other” titles (8%). The states where you can command the highest earning potential as a UX professional include New York, San Francisco, Seattle, San Jose, and Boston. A UX/UI Developer can earn in the ballpark of 97K-132K in New York and San Francisco, while an Information Architect can make between 110K-160K in these cities.
